Members of the Edgewood College community are eligible for discounts on both software and hardware. Although purchases are made directly from the vendor, your status as an Edgewood College Faculty, Staff or Student is required to obtain these discounts. You will need your username and password to access these websites. If you are a new student, or have forgotten your username and/or password, please contact the Technology Assistance Center at 608-663-6900, or visit the Help section of this website for information on obtaining a username and password. All residence hall rooms are wired for access to the campus Local Area Network (LAN) and a hard wire internet connection for each room resident is included in the room fee. Internet access is activated when students move in. Wireless access is not available in the residence halls but is available in the Regina Cafeteria, Predolin Commons and the Library. For a hard wire internet connection in your residence hall room, it is required that you have a 10/100 base-T NE200 card and current anti-virus software on your computer (anti-virus software will be provided for each room at move in.) Both will be required for the Technology Assistance Center to maintain your residence hall internet connection. For more information, please contact the Technology Assistance Center at 608-663-6900.
Edgewood College does not provide internet service to students, faculty and staff living off-campus.
Wireless network connections are available everywhere on campus. If your computer has a wireless network card, your computer will be able to automatically detect Edgewood College’s network while using your computer in wireless areas.
All members of the Edgewood Campus Community are granted an email account. For more information on email on campus, obtaining an account, or troubleshooting problems with email, please visit Email Information. For the policy governing appropriate use of Email, please visit the Electronic Use Policy.
Cable television hook up in rooms is optional and available at the expense of residents in Marshall, Regina, Stevie, Siena, Weber and Rosewood. To receive expanded basic cable (approximately 70 channels) in a residence hall room, only one resident per room needs to sign up for cable service. Service may be obtained by contacting the Technology Assistance Center. The Technology Assistance Center will then maintain the connection. In multiple occupancy rooms it is not necessary for all room residents to sign up for/pay for cable. If residents wish to share the cost they must do so on their own. The college will not split the charge for students. Students may sign up per semester or per year and the pricing follows: $160/semester* or $225/year*. All cable fees are non-refundable.
