(Not as an Edgewood Nursing Student)

Currently, we are in need of volunteers to help with the following programs:
·         Hospice
·         S.A.F.E. at Home
·         Meals On Wheels
Hospice Volunteering
Hospice volunteers are being recruited in several WI counties including, Dane. As a member of the HHU – Hospice team, our volunteers are part of an integrated and specialized support system that provides meaningful end-of-life care. Volunteers can choose to work directly or indirectly with patients and their families. Volunteering times are flexible. Free, comprehensive training is provided.
S.A.F.E. at Home
S.A.F.E. at Home is a falls prevention program. It provides a free, in-home assessment to residents in Dane County aged 65 and older. The mission of  S.A.F.E at Home is to reduce falls and help individuals stay safe and independent in their homes. Volunteers are trained to conduct assessments. Volunteering times are very flexible. Assessments can be done on nights and weekends.
Meals On Wheels
Meals On Wheels is a community-based, volunteer driven noontime meal service that provides daily safety checks to homebound seniors and disabled in Madison, Middleton, Monona and Sun Prairie. We are looking for volunteers to deliver meals. Home Health United serves meals 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are very flexible with scheduling. Volunteers choose which days and times work best for them. All volunteers are required to go through a short training session prior to taking routes.
